Rules:

  • Each team is only allowed to participate under one name.
  • There is no restriction on the number of team members.
  • If you have questions about the tasks, ask the moderators in the IRC chat or by Email. No points will be deducted for these questions.
  • For those of you who are competing in a CTF for the first time, a flag is a sentence or a code that you are required to find in each level. There is no specific or pre-defined procedure for finding them, you will have to execute several tests and think out of the box to "capture the flag" :). Eventually, you will understand the dynamics of the CTF and hopefully, you will be able to quickly solve challenges.
  • If you are sure that your flag is true (we mean %100, absolutely, swear-on-my-life SURE), but our system does not accept it, inform us via chat.
  • Reporting bugs in the contest infrastructure has a reward.
  • Thou shalt not be a jerk. We are all here to learn something new.
  • Any attempt to disrupt the contest will result in disqualification.
  • We have a dynamic scoreboard. That means the more teams solve a challenge, the less points each team gets.
  • All flags must be in this form: SUSEC{[0-9a-zA-Z_-]+.}, unless stated otherwise.
    • Flag example: SUSEC{_some_l33t_string_l1k3_7hi5_}
  • There will be at least 20 tasks.
  • The live chat channel can be found at irc.hackint.org #susec-ctf
  • The latest news and announcements regarding this contest can be found on the announcements page.
  • Registration will be open until the end of the game.
